The 27th annual Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) will host a myriad of property experts and the 49th vice-president of the US, Kamala Harris, who will participate in a moderated conversation at the event.

This year, AREC will return to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 25 and 26 May, featuring international speakers and Australian real estate professionals who will share their industry insights and strategies for success in the property sector.

Among these speakers will be Kamala D. Harris, the 49th vice-president of the US, who will participate in a moderated conversation on the AREC stage, as part of her first speaking engagement in Australia.

Under the direction of AREC founder, John McGrath, a total of 32 speakers will share their personal experiences and their industry knowledge at the conference.

Also present at this year’s AREC will be Mauricio Umansky, the co-founder and CEO of The Agency and star of the Netflix reality series, Buying Beverly Hills, who will speak about his experiences in the competitive markets of Los Angeles, Miami and New York.

This year’s conference will broadly focus on growth, culture and business success in the real estate sector and has been designed to give “practical and tactical takeaways”.

On Day 1, the conference will see industry coach, Josh Phegan, dive into performance and recovery, lead generation, and his approach to business planning and life success.

On Day 2, Mauricio Umansky will discuss personal branding, client relationships, negotiation skills and his insights into selling luxury properties.

Other keynote speakers will include entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, who will appear via satellite, acclaimed sporting coach Tim Grover, and Australian Olympic swimmers Emma McKeon and Ariarne Titmus, in their first joint speaking engagement.

Head of Total Real Estate Training and AREC organiser, Izzy Savva, said the conference has always focused on continuous learning and innovation.

“This year we have developed a program that Australia has never experienced previously with an exceptional calibre of speakers who will share their diverse insights and learnings,” Savva said.

McGrath said that AREC has “always had a reputation for delivering the highest quality and sought-after speakers”, and shared that “this year’s line-up has surpassed our expectations”.
