COVID-19 hasn’t dampened international interest in Australian property, with the Brits proving Down Under is still in high demand.
An analysis of Google search volumes by Bankrate has revealed the top 10 most popular countries for British home buyers, as searches for “relocation” have spiked by more than 500 per cent as a result of the pandemic and isolation measures put in place by the British government.
To find out where in the world British buyers are most interested in putting down roots, Bankrate inputted “move to” into a keyword analytics program that analyses Google search data.
According to the findings, Canada is the most popular destination for potential relocation, with an average 26,720 searches per month.
The USA isn’t far behind, with 25,780.
Australia rounds out the top three, with an average search volume of 25,660.
The three locations are far ahead the rest of the nations that comprise the top 10:
1. Canada
2. USA
3. Australia
4. Ireland (8,740)
5. Spain (7,960)
6. New Zealand (6,540)
7. France (5,790)
