A new REB Masterclass is set to explore tips, tricks and strategies around hiring for those looking to kick off their own property management offering.

Acknowledging that good people are the cornerstone of every successful property management business, REB, with the support of Managed App, will be unpacking a number of ways that new business owners can build out their business in the masterclass titled “How to build a property management dream team”.

It’s the third and final masterclass in a series that began with “How to launch a growth agency”, then followed by “How to build your rent roll, fast”.

Lending their expertise to the topic will be Managed App’s Thom Richards, Marshall. Chan. Yahl.’s William Chan and Raine & Horne’s Samuel Schumann, with the panel to be moderated by REB news editor Grace Ormsby.

Questions to be considered by the panel in the one-hour, live-streamed event include: How do you choose the perfect first hire? What makes a good culture? How do you monitor and reward good performance?

The experts will also consider the direct impact that a “good’ or a “bad” team can have on the retention and growth of a new business’s rent roll.

Grace Ormsby said the event will be a very worthwhile watch for anyone who is looking to kick off a new business or expand their team over the coming months.

“Much like the previous two masterclasses, ‘How to build a property management dream’ will make for informative and engaging viewing,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to again sitting with some of the industry’s best and brightest to unpack this highly important aspect of building a business in 2021.”
