The boutique city network has announced two longstanding employees will shift roles within its property management department.

Peter Marsi and Benjamin Small take on new roles within the network. The former has been promoted to the newly created role of performance manager – leasing and business development, while the latter assumes position as BresicWhitney’s inner city and east area manager.

The pair have been described by network head of property management Chantelle Collin as “incredible leaders whose promotions reflect the energy, skill, and experience they continue to deliver for our people and clients”.

Mr Marsi’s position will see him primarily focused on the business development and leasing teams with the property management department, with an emphasis on individual empowerment. Additionally, he will incorporate professional development into the team as part of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

His new title is his latest with the network he has spent seven of his 15 years in property management at, having previously been BreiscWhitney’s senior portfolio manager and business development executive.

The brand’s other promotion, Mr Small, has spent the last decade with the network. His new position sees him mirror that of Donna Chu, BresicWhitney’s area manager for the inner west and lower north shore, and will see him provide similar support and mentor the team of portfolio managers across Sydney’s inner city and east.

Mr Small is tasked with providing the team with guidance on client engagement, asset performance, and tools for navigating the increasingly complex property investment landscape.

Ms Collin said that both progressions reflect the network’s commitment to career pathways, adding that more broadly, “it’s crucial that as an industry, we continue to nurture and develop all our people.”

Given the myriad of trying conditions presently facing in the industry, including “the rental property shortage, current economic conditions, extreme weather events, and the changing expectations of owners and tenants”, Ms Collin believes “long gone are the days of portfolio managers being a simple conduit between an owner and a tenant”.

“It’s an industry that requires constant critical thinking and an ability to adapt, strategise, and problem solve in a quick yet meaningful way,” she said.

“My team and I are proud of the role we play across the property investment lifecycle and the ways in which we can service owners while providing an excellent tenant experience.”
