An inner-west Sydney business development manager acknowledges January was “a busy month” for his business.
Rocco Colosi only moved into the property management space in mid-2022 but has already listed 92 rental properties for his inner-west Sydney agency.
The Hudson McHugh BDM, who was previously in a sales role with the business, said there’s a method to his success, and it’s all about getting a head start on his competitors.
“The most important thing for me is responsiveness and communication,” he shared.
“In this industry, a lot of people take their time getting back to potential clients, but if someone calls the office or there’s an enquiry through the website, I’m calling them within the hour.”
He also believes it’s his passion for real estate — and being an investor himself — that has set him up for success.
Having sold, renovated, invested in and managed his own properties, Mr Colosi said he is “genuinely driven to help people achieve their property dreams.”
Having previously been a tenant and now a landlord himself, he places value in empathy and honouring commitments, and said this attitude has even seen him garner new business. A past tenant recommended Mr Colosi to their neighbour despite having missed out on a property they had wanted themselves, which was one of his listings.
“To have that recommendation from a tenant that I hadn’t even put into a property, that felt like a huge win.”
“It’s so important to me that I help people in any way I can and leave an impact.”
While the start of the year has been a busy one, the father of two, who highlights he is “equally as focused on being the best dad he can be,” has no plans to slow down.
He’s revealed that his aim in 2023 is to sign 180 properties and hire an associate to assist him with prospecting — two goals he believes are all the more achievable in a supportive environment.
“I’ve worked at three other offices, but it’s the support from the directors at Hudson McHugh that is just incredible.”
“It gives you confidence to go out there and kick all these goals,” he concluded.
