As Australia’s fastest growing real estate network, Professionals has achieved its ambitious goals for new office openings in 2023 and is well positioned for further growth in the year ahead.

Professionals Real Estate will end 2023 on a high, reporting strong growth across the business and achieving its goal of bolstering its share of the national market.

During the past quarter alone, Professionals recorded 2,117 settlements, $1.3 billion in sales and 1,487 new property managements.

Professionals is one of Australia’s fastest growing real estate networks and is making strides to expand its 170-strong member network with a record nine new offices opening in the last half of 2023.

The new offices were welcomed in Yarram and Lyndhurst in Victoria; Townsville, Whitsundays and Caboolture in Queensland; Nollamara and Rockingham in Western Australia, with new offices opening soon in Melbourne’s Noble Park and Port Douglas in far north Queensland.

Professionals Chief Executive Officer Katherine Gonzalez-Cork said the record number of new office openings reflected the group’s strategic focus to increase market share.

“The results demonstrate our determination to achieve strong growth while expanding our network and profile,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.

“Our 2023 successes are the direct result of the hard work of all members of our agency network who have continued to position the group at the front of sellers and buyers.

“As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2026 it is our goal to increase our portfolio and innovate and expand our superior service offering to clients while providing unrivalled training, marketing and professional services to our offices.”

Ms Gonzalez-Cork said Professionals doesn’t operate as a franchise model, instead providing a low cost membership system that provides agencies with a comprehensive suite of tools and support services for their businesses.

“With a flat-fee membership, our principals can return their profits to their own businesses,” she said. “Putting people first and surrounding them with a supportive network of peers makes us truly unique.’’

Among the highlights of 2023 were several highly successful events and awards programs delivered across the network. These included:

  • Pro-Elite Conference, held in Darwin in July, to acknowledge and award the network’s best performers.
  • Thought Leaders Program, held in Melbourne in August, bringing together 30 future leaders from across the country in a mentoring and succession planning program.
  • State-based awards programs that delivered a total 384 awards to the highest achieving offices and salespeople across all corners of the country.
  • International Conference and Awards, held in Melbourne in October, with 17 prominent speakers headlined by finance entrepreneur Mark Bouris, AM.

“Our multiple awards programs in 2023 achieved outstanding results with every event recording huge growth in attendance, with the International Conference attracting a record 300 attendees,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.

“Professionals’ actively creates strategies for our principals and agents to grow and thrive, and we take great pleasure in celebrating and recognising their achievements.

“Not only are these events wonderful social opportunities to celebrate our success and excellence but they play a vital role in fostering culture and invaluable networking opportunities.’’

In November, Professionals received a highly commended award in the 2023 Research Australia’s Great Philanthropy Award, in acknowledgement of almost 20 years of committed financial support for breast cancer research.

Professionals is a proud Diamond Charity Partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, raising more than $4.2 million to the research charity since 2004.

A portion of commissions from every property sale plus extensive fund-raising efforts across the network going to NBCF.

“I am so proud of our commitment to NBCF and I commend every Professionals office across Australia for their ongoing support. Together, we’re not just selling homes, we’re helping to fund a future free from breast cancer,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.

Looking ahead to 2024 Ms Gonzalez-Cork said the group’s goal was to continue its national expansion and grow the team with a commitment to enhancing service quality for Professionals members.

“There are so many opportunities for expansion for the business in the coming year and there is a sense of anticipation across the group,’’ she said.

The Professionals was established more than 48 years ago in Queensland, and has expanded across Australia, with an international presence in New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
