While there are increased reports of buyers sitting on their hands amid a rising rate environment, this Sydney prestige agency recorded weeklong figures that are one for the books indicating that confidence in the premium market remains sound.

Highland Double Bay Malouf reported $70.1 million worth of sales in just seven days, following notable transactions of several trophy properties in Sydney’s high-end marketplace.

Significant deals completed over the period include the sale of a luxury apartment in Point Piper and a residential property in the prestigious enclave of Bellevue Hill, with both transactions facilitated by David Malouf, the director of Highland Double Bay Malouf agency.

During the week, another premium residence in a Bellevue Hill boutique complex was sold under the hammer by Mr Malouf, which the agency said was the result of a successful auction campaign that “generated strong enquiry”.

Other bank-breaking deals during the week include the changing hands of a luxury top-floor three-bedroom apartment that featured Bronte Beach and Pacific Ocean views, a residence in the premium harbourside suburb of Elizabeth Bay, a property in the coastal suburb of Dover Heights, and two deluxe properties in Randwick.

Mr Malouf said the strong sales figures were a testament to the agency’s depth of experience in the Sydney trophy marketplace and positioned them to be the NSW capital’s “leading results driven prestige agency”.

“It’s a remarkable outcome for Highland Double Bay Malouf and these sales are a testament to the calibre of properties our clients are entrusting to us, and the results we are able to deliver for them,” said Mr Malouf.

Highland Property Group chief executive David Highland said the latest weekly sales results indicated the continued strength of the prestige market in Sydney.

“Demand for high-end properties is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon, and these sales are just another example of the underlying strength of the prestige market which continues to remain extremely strong,” said Mr Highland.

“We are witnessing properties that are well presented in prime locations being highly sought after and attracting premium prices, underpinning the unprecedented show of market confidence among Sydney’s prestige property sector.”

The significant figures come less than a year after the alliance between Bill and David Malouf and Mr Highland to establish Highland Malouf Double Bay on November 2021.
