The milestone has provided a moment for Queensland agent Nyree Ewings to reflect on one of her favourite parts of the job.

Ms Ewings cites client interaction as her “reason for getting out of bed in the morning,” and there’s one cohort in particular that gives her particular joy to be able to assist in their property journey.

“I’ve really enjoyed helping older sellers in what is often their last property sale,” she said. “You’re engaging with the sellers and their adult children, making sure they understand the strategy you’ve developed and are part of the process”.

The Brisbane Bayside agent’s service to that demographic has paid her back in kind.

“I’ve received a lot of word-of-mouth referrals from older sellers and their families over the last 15 years and to have made a difference for them is something I’m very proud of.”

At this point, the LJ Hooker Property Centre agent says there are few streets in the Bayside area that she hasn’t sold a home in.

It’s a strong network that she credits for her ability to have averaged 71 settlements a year over her 14 years in sales, all of which have been with the brand.

She managed to best that number considerably last year — selling 95 properties over the course of 2022, and notching the network’s award for top international salesperson for the value of property sold over the 12-month period.

On the event of her 1000th sale, Stephen Mutton, general manager of the LJ Hooker network, commended not only her record, but Ms Ewings’ generosity to her clients and co-workers alike.

“Nyree has an incredible commitment to her sellers which is why she wins so many listings,” he said.

“She’s always been willing to share her knowledge and expertise with other agents. She’s a high performer who is happy to give back to her colleagues”.
