PRD Tamworth knows how to nurture excellence in its people.

Speaking with REB, Jacqui Bijnens, the group’s chief operating officer, has affirmed the importance of drive, ambition, dedication and self-awareness to high performance, all of which has culminated in PRD Tamworth’s recognition as a top performing office within the wider PRD network.

With four agents also bestowed with awards, PRD Tamworth believes excellence “isn’t just a standard, but a way of doing business”.

For Bijnens, excellence means they stand ready to serve their clients and customers “with unwavering dedication and expertise”.

“Our team continually hones their knowledge and skill through regular training to ensure that each client receives personalised attention and a tailored solution to meet their unique needs,” she remarked.

And when she says regular, she’s not overstating the emphasis being placed on education by the business.

“Our sales team train every week on a Wednesday at 8am for an hour,” the chief operating officer revealed.

“This is what we refer to as a ‘Big Rock’ appointment,” she said, referencing the business ethos that sees “big rocks” as the main priorities or longer-term goals of an operation.

At this weekly event, Bijnens said “the entire sales team attends and all aspects of learning and development are covered, from personal goals and growth to sharpening sales and negotiation skills”.

From her perspective, “this dedication to training ensures that our sales agents grow into award-winning agents and provide excellence to our clients and customers”.

In addition to weekly training, each agent’s appraisals, listings and sales are tracked on a monthly basis to be celebrated in the full team meeting, which the COO said is bolstered by “a fabulous team environment” and underpinned by core values, which “allows our agents to thrive and feel supported”.

On the topic of core values, Bijnens said they are “fundamental to the business and are instilled in everything we do as team on a day-to-day basis”.

She highlighted “all for one, one for all” as one of their core values, which “focuses on celebrating individual and team success which we do regularly”.

Looking ahead, growth is the “number one goal over the next few years” – but it’s not just through the sales domain, with property management also a huge focus for the business.

That’s thanks in part to the acquisition of a “significant” rent roll back in December 2023, which also saw the alignment of several new property managers.
