The network has announced that Jo Phelps will return as its new state operations manager/events.
Phelps brings over 18 years of experience within the Harcourts Group, beginning her career in 2005 at a Brock Harcourts office before developing her sales skills over the next four years and progressing to a personal assistant position.
She would then go on to join the newly rebranded Harcourts South Australia’s corporate team in 2014 as its operations and events manager, with the network highlighting this experience as providing Phelps with “unparalleled insight” into the workings and needs of Harcourts South Australia.
“From a corporate perspective, I have a deep understanding of an office’s needs and how I can best assist the offices across our network in my role,” Phelps said.
Speaking on her return to the South Australian corporate team, Phelps highlighted her background in retail and shared that her passion for customer service is evident in her interactions with “external clients, our team, and the offices I engage with”.
“Having worked as a sales consultant, I understand what is required from a support team; as an admin within an office, I know the kind of assistance needed from a state team,” she said.
The network highlighted that Phelps intends to carry her enthusiasm for “delivering value through exceptional events” into her new role, with the new manager stating that “time away from the office and family must be rewarded with meaningful insights and experiences”.
“I want our events to be truly valuable – attending should feel worthwhile, not just in terms of cost but also in the content and network interactions they provide,” Phelps said.
Commenting on Phelps’ return, Harcourts South Australia CEO, Heather Edwards, emphasised that the new manager embodies the brand’s core values through her attitude of “being courageous, and having fun while doing it”.
“Her deep understanding of the Harcourts network, from sales to admin to state operations, positions her as an instrumental leader in continuing to deliver top-tier service and support to the SA region,” Edwards said.
