Laing+Simmons Coffs Harbour revealed that the office has made more than $20 million of sales since opening in 2024, while also seeing a reduction in average number of days on market for listed properties.

The new Coffs Harbour office opened in 2024, and offers services spanning sales, property management, appraisals, auctions and project marketing.

The office is headed by co-directors Hayden Morris and Lachie Sewell. Sewell is also the principal of Laing+Simmons Armidale.

According to a recent statement from the network, the office’s success was also translated to days on market, seeing an average of 23 compared to a regional average of over 50.

The office also set a sales record for Korora, with a $3.9 million sale.

Morris said that he was optimistic for the real estate market in the Coffs Harbour region.

“There is real optimism in the market at the moment,” Morris remarked.

“There’s confidence on both the buyer and vendor side, enquiries are up, there is evidence that investors are returning in greater numbers, and out of area buyers are more common.

“With the strength and reach of the Laing+Simmons brand, my experience not only in the region but also in Sydney, and Lachie’s connections to other regional areas and buyers, we’ve been able to make an immediate impact in the local market.

“If and when interest rates drop, it could trigger another increase in activity. Buyers and vendors wanting to avoid the onset of new competition can act now. Indeed, many are.”

The announcement comes as the network announced the opening of new offices in Concord, Kings Langley, Maroubra, Ingleburn and Point Cook.

Sewell said that the local economy and beauty will continue to attract interest in the region.

“The Coffs Harbour region is growing and it’s no surprise why. Everyone knows the beauty of the coast and its beaches, but there’s also the vibrant social scene, the mix of industries and employment opportunities, the growing population and the enduring tourism appeal. Buyers are coming from near and far,” Sewell explained.

“We’re focused on delivering a more tailored customer service offering under a strong brand to provide buyers and vendors an elevated experience when they look to take the next step in their property journey.

“At the moment, many of these people are buyers from further afield drawn to the Coffs lifestyle. There have been many in recent times and there are many more to come.”
