RE/MAX has utilised virtual technology to ensure its agents remain connected across the widespread Australian and New Zealand network.

Over 300 members have participated in the RE/MAX Evolve II series via a virtual setting as a way to catch up, share ideas and celebrate recent success. The event follows the first RE/MAX Evolve event held back in May.

According to a statement from the group, attendees were able to participate in the event in real time from their office or home, “oscillating between networking mode, where they could move from table to table and engage in face-to-face group and private chat, as well as presentation mode for key speakers, with the opportunity to be involved in real-time web discussion”.

“The virtual platform has allowed us to transform our traditional events and expanded the reach of and for our network like never before,” said RE/MAX Australia managing director Joel Davoren.

“Our key speakers on the day offered a wealth of information and insight from both professional and personal experiences and we’re thrilled to have been able to utilise this platform to bring them to our members.”

RE/MAX LLC chief customer officer Nick Bailey joined from RE/MAX LLC Headquarters, noting it was encouraging to see the entire network adapt to working in a virtual world.

“Technology will not put the real estate professional out of business, but real estate professionals who don’t embrace technology will put themselves out of business,” he said.

Looking ahead, Mr Davoren added that RE/MAX will continue its evolution in line with market demand.

“We’re all living through something our generation has never before experienced. The type of change we are experiencing is unique and the real estate landscape has changed,” he said.

“Now is the time of action and we need to be open to the opportunity to evolve in order to put ourselves and clients in the best position possible.”
