Two managing directors have teamed up to offer their real estate teams a unique learning opportunity: an exclusive six-month course with a Harvard Business School professor.
The Coronis Group’s Andrew Coronis and Harris Real Estate’s Phil Harris are currently studying business MBAs from the Harvard Business School themselves and, alongside fellow students Pippa Hallas (Ella Bache CEO), Jack Winson (Winson Group CEO) and Lynda Kelly (Explores Early Learning MD), have decided to bring the Harvard experience back to their respective teams.
Professor Boris Groysberg will be running the six-part virtual course, which is designed to offer the 110 attendees a “holistic and practical education that will improve their life, careers, family and mindset”.
Mr Coronis said “our cohort is three years into our MBA and we all agree Professor Boris is simply one of the best lecturers we’ve heard to date and has the innate ability to take complex researched concepts and present them in a manner that everyone cannot only understand, but also implement into their lives and business”.
He’s expressed his excitement at bringing “the Harvard experience here to Brisbane”.
“Our mission is to change our people’s lives for the better and grow them personally and professionally, and what better way is there to do that than offer them the opportunity to learn and interact with one of the best business minds in the world,” the managing director said.
Mr Harris has considered the forum “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.
“Harvard is America’s oldest and most prestigious learning institution, and Boris is one of the most sought-after academics, with the world’s largest corporations hiring him to consult on their businesses, and now we’re bringing him to the Australian real estate industry,” Mr Harris said.
Explaining that he’s personally “gained so much” from Professor Groysberg, he’s looking forward to sharing a “bespoke, condensed curriculum of what we all considered to be his best lessons” with his team.
“I’m really proud that I’m able to offer this experience to my team,” he continued.
The course will see participants complete case studies, readings and assignment questions in addition to the six lectures.
On completion, they will all receive a personally signed certificate of completion from Professor Groysberg, which Mr Coronis believes will “add immense value to their lives as well as their resume”.
