Acknowledging that times are tough right now, a communication and payments platform has boosted access to business-critical solutions as part of a COVID-19 relief package.
Until 30 November 2021, proptech provider Podium will be offering free access to solutions to new and existing single-location Podium customers across the country.
According to country manager David Schiene, Podium’s COVID-19 relief package aims to help local businesses maintain communication with their customers in lockdown, thus allowing them to sustain their operations and ultimately minimise the risk of financial hardship.
“Our community of Australian small businesses are a vital part of the Australian economy, and these recent lockdowns have significantly impacted their operations and their ability to continue servicing their customers,” Mr Schiene said.
“COVID has altered consumer expectations, however, as it has also created new opportunities to win customers online. Our services enable businesses to create or advance online strategies that have proved business-critical in the face of unpredictable lockdowns.”
Podium has previously reported that Australian businesses have utilised Podium to send nearly 6 million messages and receive almost 200,000 reviews since the first lockdown announced in March 2020.
“We hope this package provides relief and assistance to those impacted in order for them to stay in touch with their customers without having the additional burden of mounting costs, for the next few months,” the country manager added.
Solutions include Text-to-Pay, Campaigns, Videochat and Teamchat.
The announcement of Podium’s COVID-19 relief package comes shortly after their official Australian launch in August.
Through an SMS-based platform, Podium helps local businesses receive reviews, collect payments, send SMS campaigns and centralise their communication on channels such as Google, Facebook, Instagram or TripAdvisor — whichever their customers prefer.
