As the organisation amps up its USA expansion plans, it’s named a new chief executive for its Australian and New Zealand branch.
Effective this week (14 February), Sean Adomeit is taking the reins as CEO of Openn.
It’s an elevation from his position as chief operating officer, which he took on after initially being appointed to Openn Negotiation as marketing manager in December 2017. He currently sits as vice-chair of the PropTech Hub WA Investment Council.
According to a statement from Openn Negotiation, Mr Adomeit’s appointment is part of an organisational structure revision – set to allow current managing director Peter Gibbons and chief technology officer Duncan Anderson “to focus on the execution and launch of Openn in North America”.
Welcoming Mr Adomeit’s appointment, Mr Gibbons said that his elevation to CEO of the organisation’s Australian and New Zealand operations is “recognition of the outstanding work he has done over the years in growing the Openn business from a concept to an international proptech platform”.
“Sean has displayed exceptional leadership skills in developing the Openn team to execute our AU/NZ rollout,” he said.
Mr Adomeit’s elevation isn’t the only change at the company, with Openn also announcing the appointment of James Fitzgerald as general manager of product marketing.
The former Domain senior executive’s move “profoundly enhances our strategic marketing capacity”, said Mr Gibbons.
“It also adds senior executive strength to the east coast, in our fastest growing region, where the bulk of our customers are. Attracting such high calibre talent is a reflection on the success of Openn in the market and its potential to do so much more,” the managing director stated.
