An extensive search for Australian real estate fintech company Hutly’s chief executive officer has concluded with the appointment of a former Google head of platforms.
Stuart Spiteri, who has previously spent time with Akamai and News Corp as well as the global search engine giant, was this week appointed as the firm’s new CEO.
Mr Spiteri brings with him a deep knowledge in core internet operations, SaaS, data management, and a track record in transformational growth – attributes that Hutly founder and executive chair Jeremy Hastings considered as critical for the firm’s CEO.
“Stu has a history of building high performance teams, scaling tech businesses globally and unlocking value for customers across a number of verticals,” he said.
“Hutly lives at the nexus of fintech, big data, financial services and proptech, so we needed a seasoned operator, someone who understood that taking our partners and their significant networks on the change journey was just as important as the technology itself. Stu was the perfect fit.”
Mr Spiteri is excited to capitalise on the current market position the company holds and help catapult the company into the future, commenting: “I’m very excited about the technology that Hutly has developed, and the market position the company has established.
“There are some transformational developments coming in the near future, and I’m looking forward to sharing them as we drive the next phase of Hutly’s growth.”
