The Victoria-based real estate agency has partnered with a Melbourne start-up to provide an artificial intelligence (AI) service to its clients.
The collaboration with Rental Heroes will see the agency introduce a 24/7 renter concierge service named “Alex” that will enable renters to receive real-time answers to common questions on issues such as lease expiration and rent due dates.
The move comes after a successful pilot between the two brands and will now see the AI system implemented throughout Jellis Craig’s 30 office network, with the program to be expanded to include new channels and AI use cases.
Nick Carah, general manager of the Jellis Craig group, said the competitive nature of the real estate industry spurred them towards this innovation.
“To remain an industry leader, we must continue to invest in innovative ideas that enhance user experience for both our customers and staff. We’re delighted to deploy AI as it will no doubt be a big part of the future of our industry,” Mr Carah said.
The partnership means Jellis Craig will become a part of Rental Heroes network of 2,000 property managers and 120,000 renters across Australia and New Zealand.
Rental Heroes chat solutions are powered by more than 12 core system integrations coupled with conversational AI that has been trained by millions of data points.
Co-founder and chief operations officer (COO) of Rental Heroes Dominik Chmielewski said: “It’s humbling to work so closely with Jellis Craig to evolve our product into technology that customers love using.
“Because of this partnership, we know we’re about to make the professional lives of property managers less stressful and much easier – and that’s a really special outcome for all of us.”
