The property technology giant has revealed that it has held onto its top-four spot in the culture-based “Australia’s Best Workplaces” ranking for 2022.
Great Place to Work has unveiled its Australian workplace culture rankings for 2022, with REA Group taking out fourth place in the large company category (companies with greater than 1,000 employees) behind Cisco, Salesforce, and Atlassian.
Hospitality giant Hilton rounded out the top five rankings across the category.
Holding strong on its 2021 ranking, REA Group also revealed that the achievement marked the highest ranked ASX-listed business on the list for the second year running.
With employee surveys forming part of the ranking’s data capture, REA Group chief executive Owen Wilson said it was particularly pleasing that employee experiences “significantly” contribute to the recognition.
“Our people are the best judges of what it’s really like to work at REA, and holding our firm spot on the Best Workplaces list reflects their view coupled with an in-depth review of our organisation and total employee experience,” he stated.
“We want our people to love what they do and to connect with our purpose — to change the way the world experiences property.
“To be named Australia’s fourth Best Workplace for 2022 shows the contribution that our work environment and employee experience has to our culture.”
The CEO also added that “in a hotly contested talent market, this recognition will go a long way to retaining and attracting the best people to REA”.
REA Group chief people and sustainability officer Mary Lemonis has also weighed in on the achievement, saying she is “incredibly proud of the employee experience we deliver”.
Calling the announcement a credit to all of the group’s people, she shared: “At REA we strive to deliver a world class employee experience. Our culture is REA’s special sauce, and we know fostering the best working environment enables our people to thrive and drives a high performing organisation.”
