A “world-first” digital platform expected to be on all home owners’ phones in the next five years has hit Apple and Google Play stores.

MyHomeVault has become available through the stores this month, promising to deliver a one-stop shop for home owners looking to store all their property information in a single, secure place.

The app, which has been launched in partnership with National Property Data, allows the user to insert key data such as property history and records, plans, listing information, legal documents, preferred tradespeople and other contacts, into the one system.

Other key features include users being able to upload title documents, drainage diagrams, zoning certificates, and floorplans and upload and manage appliance images, warranties and user manuals per room of the property.

Users are also able to view historical maintenance records; create reminders for further maintenance work, warranty expiration dates and renovations; share select property data with real estate agents, tradespeople and other contacts; and share and transfer MyHomeVault data to new owners when purchasing the property.

MyHomeVault chief operating officer Mindy Powell-Hodges said the new platform provides a robust utility for home owners, as well as the real estate industry, in providing transparency and value to vendors.

“Imagine having one place to store everything about your home, from paint colour, photos, and floorplans to receipts, and council documents, it literally is the app that allows you to have everything about your home on your phone,” Ms Powell-Hodges said.

“It also provides complete transparency to potential buyers when they are about to make a huge financial commitment. MyHomeVault gives them comfort and validation that they are making the right decision. We believe every homeowner will have MyHomeVault on their phone in the next five years.”

Commenting further, Ms Powell-Hodges flagged the importance of the real estate industry continuing to move forward in welcoming proptech solutions to the market.

“Embracing technological transformation is essential to moving forward within the real estate industry and helping agents stand out from the crowd,” she said.

“While there are a number of proptech products that help facilitate the rental market and property management of investors, there is nothing like MyHomeVault available in the Australian market.”
