Two real estate leaders working within the talent space are behind a brand-new tech platform they say will “revolutionise real estate recruitment” for both employers and employees.

The app, which is called Recruit RE, is the brainchild of Kylie Walsh and Anna Egri, who between them bring more than 35 years of experience to the platform.

Recruit RE is also set to provide “a much-needed digital home for the real estate profession’s CPD”, according to a statement detailing the launch.

According to Ms Walsh and Ms Egri, the “purpose-built” platform provides the real estate industry with a channel “to reach talent at greater speed whilst reducing recruitment costs and scaling efficiencies”.

Emphasising the fact that it is designed by industry, for industry, the pair revealed that their development of the app was inspired by the ability to solve real issues they “regularly see” across the industry.

“The industry is crying out for a holistic and scalable approach to CPD headaches and recruitment challenges. At the core of the Recruit RE app is the ability to provide transparency, accessibility and speed to connect talent and store CPD records,” they shared.

The app aims to be “accessible to everyone” — meaning it is free for employees who would like a place to house their “career passport”, inclusive of real estate license, driver’s license, and CPD points.

At present, too much time is wasted on endless resumés and cover letters, and it was time for a streamlined approach to profiling the skill set of employees, according to Ms Walsh and Ms Egri, who have also aimed to make it “even easier for business owners to stand out” through dedicated areas to highlight company culture, values, and industry accolades.

“We wanted to make it a seamless workflow from advertising roles to effortlessly shortlisting talent and connecting with candidates. Now it’s all in one place,” they stated.

“For employees, they know they can instantly verify their qualifications and be hired on their merits, and for employers, they can have confidence that prospective talent[s] are validated and genuine. It’s a win-win.

“This creates meaningful connections, which are mutually beneficial and how recruitment should always be.”

Recruit RE has its own verification system integrated with the state-governing bodies, which the founders stated would provide confidence and trust to both parties in the recruitment process.

First launching in NSW, the app is set to be rolled out across the other states over the next 12 months with the building out of their own specific state-based resources.

Acknowledging the changing recruitment landscape, the chief executive and director of Resolver Recruitment, Virginia Brookes, believes there’s “a real opportunity for Recruit RE and recruiters to work harmoniously”.

“I know that using a recruiter is not always a preferred option for some businesses due to a number of factors; now, we are providing industry with a choice and creating an online marketplace where you can go shopping for the best place to work and find the best talent in real estate,” Ms Brookes stated.

Espousing that there would always be a need for experienced and knowledgeable recruiters to work alongside their clients for certain roles, the industry leader did express the belief that “Recruit RE will offer a more direct and aligned search specific to the real estate industry at a more commercial level than some traditional methods”.

“This platform provides speed, qualified and verified candidates and a place to call home for their professional development,” she lauded.

“There is a real opportunity for Recruit RE and Recruiters to work harmoniously and to give really solid and financially viable results.”
