An Australian proptech has marked its third year of stateside operation with a “milestone” tie-up, as it looks to accelerate its US growth strategy.
RateMyAgent shared it has entered into a strategic partnership with Realtor.com, the second-largest real estate listings website in the United States.
Under the partnership, the RateMyAgent and Realtor.com platforms will now be integrated, allowing agents to automatically send reviews directly from the former to the latter.
Initially, the new service will be available exclusively to agents registered with the National Association of Realtors, followed by a wider release to all agents.
According to customer research, agents were looking for a more effective way to share their reviews on various platforms and enhance their online presence.
In response to this demand, the partnership was built with the aim of helping agents “automatically enhance their brand, trust, and reputation”.
Chief executive of RateMyAgent, Michael Davey said that the partnership was in line with their key goal of continuing to develop the platform, as well as the integration and partnerships that they currently have.
“It’s a complicated ecosystem in the US and integrating with one of the largest platforms in Realtor adds real value for agents. This will drive a lot of brand visibility for RateMyAgent as it will enable over 100 million users to see agents’ RateMyAgent reviews, linked to the transaction.”
RateMyAgent’s continued expansion in the US market is reflected by its latest partnership, which is part of the company’s aggressive growth strategy that has been in place since it first entered the market three years ago.
In that time, RateMyAgent has significantly expanded its partnership suite, which now includes data feeds for over 1.1 million real estate agents and integrations with several major brokerages.
In September 2020, the 2018 REACH accelerator program cohort announced its integrations with Stellar MLS, Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors and Intermountain MLS.
Notably, it has also seen impressive growth in the local US market, with over 235,000 professional agents using the platform. According to RateMyAgent, there are now more than five times more agents using the platform in the US than in Australia.
