The institute has relaunched its website with brand-new features it claims will pack “a punch above its weight”.
The Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) shared that it has redesigned and redeveloped its property search online portal into a “future-proof” platform and has even tapped a fan favourite couple from The Block to provide a star power boost.
The relaunched website, which is the end product of two years of work with leading digital agency equ (formerly Equilibrium) on the design, and NGIS on the interactive maps, features market-leading tools and proprietary research free-of-charge.
According to REIWA, it comes at a critical time when property hunters are prowling the Western Australian property landscape.
To better size up against other heavyweight property portals, REIWA highlighted that its new website offers unique features that are “a punch above their weight”.
These include interactive maps showing Landgate data, property zoning, location of utilities, and any planned changes to the area, as well as a journey planner and nearby lifestyle amenities.
With the platform featuring thousands of listings covering residential, commercial, rural and small business sectors, REIWA noted property hunters can also compare multiple properties and suburbs at a glance with the latest data on median pricing, time on market, demand for an area and demographics.
In addition to the new features, REIWA unveiled that Ronnie and Georgia Caceres, who are widely recognised for their significant success after competing in several seasons of the popular home renovation TV series, are the celebrity endorsers of its property search site’s relaunch.
Chief executive Cath Hart said the couple, who featured on The Block’s 2017 and 2021 seasons, were the “perfect fit” for the campaign with the slogan “Get Closer To Home”.
“Choosing a home is one of the most important decisions anyone will make in their lifetime, and advice from local experts is crucial. As the Real Estate Institute of WA, we wanted local faces for our campaign who are as passionate about WA property as we are,” Ms Hart said.
Being part of the relaunch campaign comes at a crucial time for the former Block couple, who divulged that they, themselves, are “on the hunt” to buy their next investment property in Perth.
“We’ve been looking for our next project, but it’s a tough market at the moment with properties getting snapped up very quickly,” Mrs Caceres commented.
“It’s very exciting; we are close to finding a property and this time with the market outlook so strong, we’ll be holding onto it instead of flipping it,” she added.
Ms Hart stated that the website’s relaunch cemented REIWA’s status as the “original Proptech pioneer” in Western Australia.
“We established our first listings site in 1995 and have continued to invest in innovation to support the industry and the community.
“We couldn’t be prouder to bring the new site to fruition at a time when demand is high, supply is low, and local insights and research are more important than ever,” she concluded.
