The joint venture between Real Estate Industry Partners (REIP) and Valocity has onboarded a partnerships manager in the lead up to delivery of their product to market.

REB revealed the launch of REIP Nexus back in May 2022, and now, as the joint venture gears up to bring its product to the industry, they’ve announced a new partnerships manager into the fold.

Andrew Friebe will be taking on the role, bringing 18 years of industry experience to REIP Nexus.

His priority? To align with the collective vision of future-proofing the industry and bringing “data to the forefront.”

REIP chief executive officer Sadhana Smiles said they are excited to bring Mr Friebe into the role, acknowledging that he is not only a very seasoned operator, but “the right person for this role for REIP Nexus”.

“Andrew brings the experience of being an agent, working in corporate, and in the tech arena.”

Ms Smiles explained that Mr Friebe’s focus will be “on engaging the real estate community on who we are, our REIP Nexus product and the value proposition we bring to agents and agencies”.

Also weighing in on Mr Friebe’s appointment is CEO and founder of Valocity, Carmen Vicelich, who has expressed they are “thrilled” to be welcoming “a true leader and industry expert”.

“With his exceptional experience and strategic mindset, we look forward to having him support our customer success as we deliver our exciting innovation to the market!” she exclaimed.

Mr Friebe himself acknowledges that despite his almost two decades of experience, not many changes that have come in have actually created a “shift” in the industry.

“I see an opportunity for the industry to come together and future-proof itself,” he outlined.

Stressing that “data is the most important commodity we have”, he expressed the belief that the REIP Nexus product “is the start of it”.

“The REIP Nexus product has been built and pilots have been underway for some time, so initially, it will be about getting the product to scale. I’ll be working with the team to embed the tools into as many hands as possible and sharing the value of data.”

From the incoming partnerships manager’s perspective, whose tenure begins with the new financial year on 3 July, “it’s going to be an exciting time over the coming year as agents and agencies start to benefit from REIP Nexus”.

For Ms Smiles, the priority over the coming year is to “engage the industry with who we are, what we do, and how our product will benefit agents and agencies”.

“We know we have a product that is price competitive and provides significant points of difference, all of which was designed in collaboration with the industry to reduce their pain points,” she stated.

“It is time for this industry to come together to collaborate and future proof it and REIP Nexus is one step in this journey.”
