CoreLogic’s consumer property research and listings platform is bringing private treaty sales online through an evolution of its partnership with Openn Negotiation.

Lauded as groundbreaking, Openn Offers through CoreLogic’s OnTheHouse platform aims to empower buyers and deliver “unprecedented transparency within the real estate industry for agents, buyers and vendors”.

According to a statement announcing the next step in the CoreLogic and Openn partnership, consumers browsing properties advertised on OnTheHouse that are being sold via Openn Offers can now securely submit offers online alongside preferred purchase terms. Buyers are reportedly also kept informed with real-time updates on other buyer activity on properties they’re interested in.

On the agent side of things, professionals now have the flexibility to customise the level of transparency in their Openn Offers campaigns.

CoreLogic explained how depending on the agent’s campaign settings, buyers can unlock insights into the level of interest and competition on a property, as well as the “added convenience” available through Openn’s sale methods of automated digital contracts and electronic signing.

According to Dirk Miller, the general manager of real estate solutions for CoreLogic, the new integration is a response to consumers “demanding more convenience and transparency during property negotiations”.

It also follows on from positive engagement with Openn’s online auction campaigns that were first integrated into OnTheHouse in 2021, he said.

To date, more than 12,000 properties have been sold via Openn’s digital sale methods, with both Openn and CoreLogic expecting the number to “surge” following the broader integration with OnTheHouse.

“OnTheHouse visitors told us that missing price/value information, along with general bidding, negotiation and competition pressures, are the most frustrating parts of the buying process,” Mr Miller said.

“Openn Offers with OnTheHouse is an innovative partnership that helps solve this pain point and enhances the home buying and selling process for our agents, vendors and consumers.”

For Openn’s CEO, Sean Adomeit, there is a level of confidence surrounding the latest launch, given the success of their previous auction integration.

The executive shared that real estate listing portals play a pivotal role in enhancing awareness and engagement for the campaigns conducted by agents using our platform. Weve evolved from fostering understanding and acceptance to a tangible demand for digitally empowered sales”.

Mr Adomeit acknowledges that “buyers, sellers and agents have not only grown more at ease with digital sales methods, but actively seek them out for the convenience, transparency and efficiency they offer. As a result, agents partnering with Openn and OnTheHouse will empower home buyers to effortlessly view, bid, make offers and purchase new properties with just a few clicks,” he continued.

For Mr Miller, the latest integration is another step towards their focus of providing the industry “with innovative solutions that enhance the property ecosystem”.

He lauds that savvy agents now have an additional tool to leverage in their efforts to enhance their sales results.
