The creators believe the new platform could speed up and simplify property transactions for South Australian agents and buyers.

The platform, Greatforms, is the brainchild of reaforms, a national provider of real estate-related legal forms.

Jarrod Eckermann, CEO of the Eckermann Group and general manager of Greatforms, has high ambitions for the platform, describing it as “a comprehensive solution developed to address the significant challenges faced by the real estate sector today”.

“We wanted to do things differently,” Eckermann said.

“That meant developing a deep understanding of the challenges facing sales agents and agency principals in working through the sales agency agreement signup, Form 1, contract and offer process.”

After sounding the market, the Greatforms team chose to focus on eight core features: property folders to keep all forms related to the same property together, a “purchaser portal” for buyers to sign documents, integrated Form 1 tracking, Form 1 preparation, document crafting, GST compliance, automated data entry, and electronic signing.

Eckermann stated that Greatforms “stands out for its ability to minimise risk exposure for agents, enhance operational ease and speed when they are working with vendors and purchasers”.

“It delivers a sophisticated and polished experience to all parties to real estate transactions,” he added.

Adam Keane, principal of Ray White Glenelg | Brighton, has trialled the platform and pointed to “the speed of the process” as one of the greatest benefits on offer.

“Sitting with the client and getting an instant flow of confirmed property and ownership data makes the signing up process simple and immediate,” said Keane.

As of its official launch at the beginning of May, Greatforms will at first exclusively service sales transactions in South Australia.

In the coming months, the team hopes to extend the platform’s capabilities to encompass property management and interstate sales transactions, though no deadline for these goals has been set yet.

“South Australia […] has a rich history of leading the way in property, dating all the way back to Sir Robert Torrens, who created the Torrens Title system now used throughout the world,” Eckermann said.

“It’s so exciting to be able to bring such an innovative product to life in South Australia.”
