Realty Media Group (RMG) has expanded its offering to buyer’s agents following a proptech acquisition.

RMG has acquired Only Source Property (OSP), a negotiation service designed to help buyer’s agents source and purchase properties for their clients.

OSP co-founders Josh Deckart and Tom Pettifer expressed excitement about the next step for their business, saying: “We are delighted to join RMG and help fulfill their mission to develop a transactional ecosystem for professional buying and selling agents.”

“We know from talking to selling agents, they are being regularly bombarded by buyer’s agents looking for stock. And now it can be efficient for both parties,” said Deckart.

Deckart and Pettifer will stay on board in leadership roles within the group, with Deckart set to expand the buyer’s agent network and Pettifer set to grow the selling network.

Originally designed as a listing platform, RMG founder Troy Rushton explained that the company is “always searching for a better way to bring buyers and sellers together.”

“When we launched Realty.com.au as a listing portal, we recognised the opportunity to leverage social media,” said Rushton.

“More recently, we have recognised the emergence of buyer agents, and the opportunity to bring our technology and selling network together to develop a marketplace,” he said.

“We have been working with the team at OSP for several months and the acquisition of their business has enabled us to create an end to end transactional platform for professionals, providing early access, with a negotiation platform.”

Going forward, the RMG founder believes the platform will continue to grow more efficient and streamlined following the acquisition.

He predicted: “Our marketplace will allow professional buyers and sellers to transact more efficiently, and we believe that many vendors can now save thousands in advertising fees, while buyers will benefit from access to qualified and skilled buyer’s agents, who are able to represent them in the transactions.”
