A new entrant into the listings landscape has achieved substantial reach in its first months of operation.
Australian real estate digital media and technology services business View Media Group has announced that in the eight months since launching view.com.au, the platform has been able to steadily grow its audience to a total of 1.24 million visitors during the month of May.
This is a 14 per cent increase on its figures in April and a new record for the portal, beating its previous high mark of 1.09 million visitors in February 2024.
The data was recorded by IPSOS, which captures the number of visitors to the site through various mediums such as phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop computers. IPSOS also reported that views to other property portals had retracted during the month of May, in line with a usual seasonal lull.
Having view.com.au buck the trend is another feather in its cap.
View Media Group chief marketing officer, Paul Tyrrell, said: “It’s great to finish off the autumn campaign period so strongly. We’re still only eight months in since the launch of view.com.au, and we couldn’t be happier with the audience growth as we move into our winter hiatus across June and July.”
He added that even with the colder months bringing less activity, the firm wouldn’t be taking the foot off the gas.
“Spring campaign planning is in full swing with a mid-August go live, and we look forward to further audience growth with some fantastic product enhancements and fresh new messaging in the pipeline,” he said.
Tyrrell gave some insight into where audiences might be spotting ads for the growing portal in the months ahead.
“Channel Seven’s AFL Finals series is the perfect timing for us to build aggressively through spring. This on top of further Seven West Media integrations, including 1.3 million reached through Dream Home since launch, and our new View suburb profile segment on Better, Homes & Gardens, puts us in the perfect position for a massive spring,” he said.
