The real estate sales transaction business has revealed several fresh faces in its ownership group.

Openn, which encompasses Openn Pty Ltd, Openn Tech Ltd, and Openn World Ltd, will now be led by an investment group comprised of Neil Rose’s Tribar Capital, alongside Mark Kalajzich and Martin Lam, formerly of Lendi Group and Aussie Home Loans.

The change will see Openn to operate as a private company that is focused on core Australasian markets, while it has divested all North American operations to Final Offer LLC.

This “recapitalisation process” has also seen it say farewell to founder and former managing director Peter Gibbons, with the business thanking him for the “tremendous contribution” he made to operations over the years.

Looking ahead, Openn has said it is now “positioned strongly for growth with new investment and significant expertise in technology”.

With the group’s existing leadership set to be maintained, CEO Sean Adomeit will remain at the helm of the business as it embarks on further growth.

Adomeit said they were “thrilled to partner with Tribar Capital, Mark and Martin”.

“Their proven track record in building successful businesses, particularly in challenging the status quo, will be instrumental as we focus on propelling Openn’s growth in our core markets,” he continued.

The proptech has high hopes of harnessing Kalajzich and Lam’s expertise in transforming legacy industries with technology, which resonates with the sentiments of Kalajzich, who said: “Openn’s dedication to empowering real estate agents aligns perfectly with our vision.”

Remarking that Openn has always – and will continue to – deliver strong outcomes for buyers and sellers, the new owner said the team was “equally excited about developing strong value for agents”.

“Solving pain points in property transactions is our number one priority,” he shared.

With Lam along for the ride, the pair are “eager to contribute” to Openn and enable the team “to achieve similar success [as Lendi], particularly in the thriving markets of Australia, New Zealand and Asia”.
