Malliga Krishnan joins the data firm in a strategic appointment that expands the executive team.

Krishnan has been named to the role of chief data officer with the intent to drive the firm’s use of new tech tools.

“As machine learning and generative AI revolutionise the property industry, I am thrilled to join CoreLogic as it embarks upon the next stage of its growth,” Krishnan said at the announcement of her appointment.

She steps into the new position at CoreLogic with over two decades of experience in data strategy, analytics and digital transformation.

Most recently as managing director of data and insights for Australia and New Zealand at consulting giant Capgemini, Krishnan reportedly led numerous data and analytics initiatives that included generative AI, data platforms modernisation and M&A integrations.

Prior to Capgemini, Krishnan held positions at Mercer, EY, PwC and IBM. She has also been involved in initiatives to promote diversity and ethics in the tech sector, as a supporter of the APAC Women in AI Awards and the Australian Responsible AI Network.

At CoreLogic, she will reportedly be involved with furthering the firm’s international strategy and will be working to accelerate the adoption of its Smart Data Platform. Her role will oversee CoreLogic's data function, and according to the firm, she will take responsibility for “enhancing the depth, breadth, sustainability, quality, accuracy and timeliness of data”.

In welcoming her to the team, CoreLogic International CEO Lisa Claes spoke to the role that Krishnan would play in driving advancements while strengthening the firm’s data framework.

“We are thrilled to have Malliga on board. Her deep expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our data strategy, strengthening governance, and fostering innovation across our data assets,” she said.

Krishnan’s appointment comes on the heels of another major addition to the team, with Josh Symons taking on the role of head of real estate solutions at the start of July.
