Property management software company Managed has bolstered its team to keep pace with rapidly increasing demand and position it for growth in 2025.
According to chief operating officer Rohith George, inquiries about the platform and the workflow features, integrations and automation of payments it delivers to fast-growing agencies are doubling every month.
Managed is an end-to-end property management solution that is built around a digital rental payments’ platform. It enables property managers to run every aspect of their rent roll – including maintenance via the tradie marketplace – with the additional benefit of actioning all payments instantly without a trust account.
“Interest in property management software that provides agencies with an alternative to running a trust account is rapidly building,” George said. “Keeping pace with the increasing demand from agencies has been a major focus in 2024, and we’re now happy to reveal a strengthened executive team to help shape growth and steer strategy into 2025 – as well as beefing up our direct sales resources.”
Sam Hoare has been announced as the new sales director.
He has been a sales leader in the high-growth tech industry for 13 years, building dynamic teams in some of the largest and most successful tech businesses, including Salesforce and Intercom.
In 2018, Sam led Intercom’s entry and expansion into the APAC market, growing the business from $2 million revenue and three staff to over $21 million revenue and 25 staff across five years.
“Sam is an experienced and capable SaaS sales professional and is charged with building out Managed’s sales capabilities,” George said.
“Under his stewardship, Managed will continue to connect with agencies seeking productivity gains and also leverage the platform’s direct and automated payments solutions. Sam is building a Sydney-based sales team with a national focus to support agencies across Australia, with the first sales executives now onboard.”
Joining Hoare in the new leadership team are Alexander Laureti as chief financial officer and Blair Dods as martech director.
Laureti is an experienced multidisciplinary accounting practice owner and angel investor; he is also a certified public accountant.
“Backed with degrees in law and accounting, he is a talented and pragmatic executive who will strengthen Managed’s financial governance and operational orientation to drive business expansion,” George said.
Dods brings 25 years of experience in the tech industry to the Managed team, having been at the forefront of digital transformation since the late 1990s.
His career spans across Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the UK, where he’s consistently leveraged cutting-edge technology to drive commercial growth at established digital sales businesses and start-ups alike.
George said these key appointments will give greater operational and governance rigour to Managed as it continues its expansion while ensuring the platform can support its agencies as they look to drive increased growth and profitability.
“Building out our strengthened leadership team has taken time and energy to get right. I’m confident that we’ve landed on the right appointments, with Sam, Alexander and Blair leaders in their respective fields,” George said.
“It’s a tight and collegiate team with a can-do culture that is getting results. The automation of rental payments is changing the face of property management in Australia so it’s central that Managed attracts the right talent to support our ongoing growth. I look forward to working closely with Sam, Alexander and Blair as we shape Managed’s future.”
