Last week, Residential Property Manager asked PMs to share the strangest item a tenant had left behind in a rental property. The answers were sometimes pleasant, but most of the time not so much…
Sure, people can be forgetful - it is human nature. However, how someone could forget to take their illegal weaponary and 'adult toys' with them is unbeknownst to me.
Property managers commented the unusual things their tenants have left behind at a property on the Residential Property Manager Facebook page.
A vintage baseball bat - it looked like Babe Ruth had used it!– Elevate Property Group
A set of four, new alloy wheels with unused tyres left in a garage– Guy Innes
A coffin - empty thankfully! But very odd– Deanne Hansom
A cat, locked in a cage in the cupboard!! Very sad– Larissa Kloots
Drug parafernalia, adult magazines, stolen bank cards and warrants from the police...– Kirston Buscombe
So many unusual items but the one that sticks in my mind is a box of illegal knives, a suitcase of used sex toys of all descriptions (very educational for the office) and a unit full of stolen goods. There was also a handwritten notebook with step-by-step instructions on how to do body piercing!– Amanda Tate
I managed a property in Kings Cross. Tenant (who was a stripper) left her sex toys in there and a bag of coins. She assured me they were not hers. Must have been the previous tenant she told me...– Felice Cotroneo
A tattoo gun!– Yes Lets Property Management
A bed, two laptops, portable hard drives, bank card and loads of designer clothes, humidifier, full kitchen set - all in the one house! All they did was sell the fridge and washing machine, they left everything else– Erin Ryan
Sexy knickers– Jacqui Hales
Ladies’ ‘chicken fillets’. Yes, the ones you put inside a bra or wear with clear straps – Deborah Daken
